Trelleborg joint models
Trelleborg rotary joints are used in components with oscillating or rotating parts to keep lubricating fluids inside and prevent mud and water ingress. Trelleborg seals help improve component life and long-term performance.
In a static sealing application there is no movement between the sealing surfaces or between the sealing surface and its contact surface. The most commonly used seal in static sealing situations is the Trelleborg O-Ring.
A variation of the standard O-Ring, Trelleborg Quad-Rings® have an X-shaped cross-section suitable for sealing a wide range of static and dynamic applications. They provide higher sealing efficiency and lower friction than conventional O-rings. Quad-Ring® is a registered trademark of Quadion Corporation.
O-rings / O-rings
Trelleborg O-Rings are the most widely used O-Rings because they are efficient and economical and can be used in a wide variety of static and dynamic applications. O-rings can be used to seal virtually all liquid and gaseous media and are available in elastomers and other materials such as EPDM, FKM, NBR and others.
Trelleborg scrapers or scrapers are installed in sealing configurations on hydraulic cylinders to scrape dirt, foreign particles, chips or moisture from the rod of a hydraulic cylinder as it retracts into the hydraulic system.
Slydring® - Wear rings
Slydring® is Trelleborg Sealing Solutions' proprietary design of hydraulic wear ring or guide ring. The function of a hydraulic wear ring is to guide the piston and rod of a hydraulic cylinder, absorbing transverse forces.
Trelleborg piston seals are used in hydraulic cylinders to seal the fluid. They are internal to the hydraulic cylinder and seal against the cylinder bore, preventing fluid from flowing through the piston.
Trelleborg rod seals are used in hydraulic cylinders to seal the fluid. They are external to the cylinder head and seal against the cylinder rod, preventing fluid leakage from the inside of the cylinder to the outside.
