Combining a new seal design and a specifically engineered material, Zurcon® Glyd Ring® D eliminates the risk of leakage effects under high pressure and provides unmatched durability in mobile hydraulic applications.
Zurcon® Glyd Ring® D has been specifically designed for use in hydraulic sealing applications subjected to increasingly higher pressures. Machines, equipment and engines equipped with hydraulic cylinders are becoming more and more powerful, which means that the cylinders are subjected to higher and higher pressures and temperatures.
The new design combines a closed oil reservoir, a two-step sealing zone, a rounded profile and an elastomer O-ring to improve sealing performance and prevent leakage.
As pressure increases, the O-ring and seal body transmit the pressure along the sealing surface, ensuring sealing efficiency at all pressure levels. As pressure increases, the contact force against the mating surface increases, ensuring optimum sealing.
When the gasket is subjected to pressure, the gasket body rotates, improving the contact pressure at the sealing edges. If the pressure changes direction, the gasket returns to its original position, avoiding blow-out effects.
The new Zurcon® Z13 polyurethane material has excellent mechanical and elastic properties and is compatible with a wide range of hydraulic, mineral, synthetic and aqueous fluids. In addition, this material offers excellent wear, extrusion and hydrolysis resistance and can be used in cylinders with lower quality inner walls.
