A French electricity supplier operating wind, solar and hydroelectric power plants requested technical assistance from RKB for the installation of spherical roller bearings with adapter sleeve on the horizontal shaft of a Kaplan hydro turbine.
An HMV 3072 E hydraulic nut was used for the installation.
The on-site session was marked by close collaboration and also served as a hands-on training opportunity for customer personnel. RKB TTU demonstrated how to measure residual bearing clearance after installation and provided guidance on optimal lubrication practices to ensure reliable operation.
